Installing Chrome on Ubuntu
Step 1) Download source to the source list of system
First, you need to add Google’s google-chrome.list file to the source list of system. To get started with installing google chrome, run the commands below
sudo wget http://www.linuxidc.com/files/repo/google-chrome.list -P /etc/apt/sources.list.d/
Step 2) Import Google software’s public key
To import Google software’s public key, run the commands below
wget -q -O - https://dl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub | sudo apt-key add -
Step 3) Update system
If you run the above commands, you should get similar print as OK
Next, you can type the command below to update the system
sudo apt-get update
Step 4) Use apt-get install chrome
Congratulations, you’re running the commands below. And you’ll successfully install the chrome on Ubuntu.
sudo apt-get install google-chrome-stable
Step 5) Install and start
Now that you have downloaded the software, you can simply install the startup
To start chrome, run the commands below
